Ze Little Sketchbook

I've just finished this little sketchbook (150 mm by 105mm ). The paintings are very small and done in acrylic. I used a time traveling Space Dutch Barge to go to all these places. If you're nice, I'll show you how it works.

SCI-FI costumes from the future, and how not to work, or something.

Most of my fellow artists call that a morning warm up, but for me it's more like an evening cool down.
I thought I'd post my messy process. I had no clear idea of where I was going, only that I wanted to do three "slick" sci-fi costume researches with a movie feel (not games).
You can see how many time I've changed my mind on just about anything along the way, and I don't even do drugs.

Weird temple

Another image that started as a sketch in front of the students. I'm pretty sure there's a place like that in our galaxy. Yes there is.

Hertfordshire, land of opportunity

An image I did in front of the students, during one of my class. This is actually what Hertfordshire looks like.

Motorgirl

A little acrylic on paper painting, for my friend Mel's 40th bithday... If I was a girl, I would be exactly like that. Exactly, I said!

Spaceship

I was sketching while talking to a student about the game he was making. The sketch led to this image. And yes, I know it will remind some people of a famous shot, from a famous film...

Well, you how it is folks: You climb that mountain and there's an angry green goat waiting for you....
